- Note
- The only known copy, held by the Tennessee State Library, lacks the title page. Title assumed from other editions, and from the publisher's note on p. 7: "The foregoing short and unanswerable 'Plea for the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ,' is from the pen of Mr. Robinson .. it was written in answer to the productions of two gentlemen, ministers of the Church of England, Mr. Jebb and Mr. Lindsey, who embraced Socinianism. As it is but little known in the United States, it was thought to republish it, would be to serve the interest of the Redeemer's Kingdom."--p. 77.
Signed on p. 77: Robert Robinson. Chesterton, Feb. 5, 1776.
