Note
Attributed to Strong in: Bates, A.C. "Checklist of Connecticut almanacs." Proceedings of the American Antiquarian Society, n.s. v. 24 (1914): 101-107, 138. Attributed to Benjamin West by Evans.

The calculations on the calendar pages are identical, and the eclipse predictions on p. [3] practically so, with those in the almanac issued simultaneously under Strong's name, An astronomical ephemeris, calendar, or almanack, for 1786 (Hartford: Hudson and Goodwin). The time equations on the page following December, which became a standard feature of Strong's almanacs and were usually entitled "Variation of sun and clock" are also identical with the corresponding page in the Astronomical ephemeris.
