Note
For bibliographical notes on this work see Arthur Freeman's preface to the 1971 facsimile edition: Ireland, W. H. Vortigern: an historical tragedy ... together with, An authentic account of the Shaksperian manuscripts. London: Cass, 1971

In this edition, p.3 line 2 = "published"; p.5 line 6 = "Srtatford [sic]" and the paper is watermarked "96". The counterfeit edition, also dated "1796" (ESTC T505605) has paper watermarked 1803 or 1804 and has p.3 line 2 = "publishing"; p.5 line 6 = "Stratford"

The "96" watermark is from all six British Library copies; Freeman suggests the paper is probably unwatermarked

The place of publication is enclosed within the title ornament

C7, a cancel, is missigned "C14". One copy at the British Library appears to have the original leaf C7 (unsigned) but the reason for the cancellation is not clear, there is only one small error "forwardwith" on p.30.
