At the end of the address the Bishop of Lincoln informs his clergy that he is again transmitting Wake's letter to them

The "articles" are the 'Articles of visitation and enquiry concerning matters ecclesiastical', 1733, and "Wake's letter" is the Archbishop of Canterbury's letter to his bishops on 5 June 1716, which was re-printed in 1733 for the Bishop of Lincoln to circulate.
