Anonymous. A translation into English of Marie-Catherine, Madame d'Aulnoy's 'Histoire d'Hypolite', and first published under the title: 'Hypolitus Earl of Douglas' in 1708.

'The secret history of Macbeth', also by Marie-Catherine, Madame d'Aulnoy, was first published in 1708 under the title: 'The secret history of Mack-Beth' and also issued as part of 'Hypolitus Earl of Douglas'; it was subsequently reissued in 1711 as 'The memoirs of the court of Scotland', along with the two other parts; 'The art of love, or the amours of Count Schlick and a young lady of quality', by Aeneas Sylvius, i.e. Pope Pius II, was first published in 1708 under the title: 'The history of the amours of Count Schlick', in 'Hypolitus Earl of Douglas'.

Each part has a separate titlepage.
