- Kent's directory lists Richard Crew at 32 Crooked Lane until 1782. In 1783 he was succeeded by Elizabeth-Gray Crew who is listed at this address until 1786. This item appears to have been issued after 1782 probably with the name of Richard Crew excised from head. The British Museum copy and a copy reported by a bookseller (06/2015) are both cropped at head with "E G Crew" added in ms. and an ms. deletion, possibly of the word "he", in the sixth line above imprint
Maxted lists Joseph Hawkins as active in 1774. Although all Hawkins imprints in ESTC are undated, internal evidence from ESTC T108421 shows that he was active at this address until at least 1785
