Note
The "will" and "codicill" are in verse, the latter signed and dated: Dover, Aug. 15, 1759. D. B.

The first line of the "will" is "From death there's no exemption can be,".

The sheet dated at head: Minden, August 2d. 1759.

A satire on George, Viscount Sackville, deprived of the command of the British forces after his conduct at the battle of Minden; the final line of the "codicill" is ironical: "Small's the reward for him who saves our horse".
