A made-up volume consisting of a reissue of the contents of the quarto edition of 'The works of Mr. Alexander Pope. Volume II.', London, 1735, together with the sheets of 'Poems and imitations', 4]0, 1738 (minus titlepage), of 'The universal prayer', 2]0, 1738 (with reading "Incense" in last line) and including also 'The Dunciad: book the fourth .. The second edition', 1742.

- The volume should perhaps be dated 1737 as on the general titlepage (cf. Griffith 474) but the make-up of these vols. appears to vary (v. Griffith) and this is a uniform contemporary binding which includes a copy of the 1741, Works, vol.2
