Note

"'Thomas Matthew' is commonly treated as a pseudonym of John Rogers (1500?-1555) .. But as Rogers only edited what is essentially Tyndale's translation, it seems more probable that 'Matthew' stands for Tyndale's own name, which it was then dangerous to employ. The text in the Pentateuch adheres closely to Tyndale's version, and the New Testament follows his G.H. edition [see Herbert 15]. In the portion from the end of Ezra to the end of the Apocrypha (including Jonah) it is substantially Coverdale's"--Herbert.

"The prophetes in Englysh" has divisional title on Hh8 (text begins new foliation on AA1. "The volume of the bokes called Apocripha" (divisional title) begins new foliation on Aaa1. "The newe Testament of oure sauyour Iesu Christ" has separate dated title page, foliation, and register.
