- This work is in answer to "A brief survey of the Lord of Derry his treatise" by Richard Smith, Bishop of Chalcedon, which work is a reply to Bramhall's "A just vindication of the Church of England from the unjust aspersion of criminal schism.".
The appendix, with caption title "A replie to S.W.s refutation of the Bishop of Derries just Vindication of the Church of England," is in answer to John Sergeant's "Schism disarm'd.".
