The engraved map,"A portraiture of the city of Philadelphia in the province of Pennsylvania in America" by Thomas Holme Surveyor General, is in two states. The imprint reads: 1) "Sold by Iohn Thornton in the Minories and Andrew Sowle in Shoreditch London" or 2) "Sold by Andre Sowle in Shoreditch London".

An imprint variant of the issue with "Printed and sold by Andrew Sowle" in place of "Printed by appointment of the said committee, by Andrew Sowle" in imprint. In these issues parts of the title page and B2v and C1 are reset. Line 5 of title has "proprietary", line 29 of title reads "And the prosperous and advantagious settlements of the society aforesaid, within", on p. 9 the last line of text reads "find me", and the words "Your kind and cordial friend" precede "William Penn".

The catalogue of purchasers names (with caption title, "Directions of reference in the city-draught of Philadelphia, ...", p. 11-14) is frequently lacking in this issue, although the catchword "Directions" is found on C1v.
Uncontrolled note
Wing CD-Rom gives "poprietary" for this imprint; CSmH copy has "proprietary"
