Note
Wing (2nd ed., 1994) identifies R.C. of the Middle Temple, Esq; as Richard Crompton (presumably fl. 1573-1599). However, the work requires a 17th-century rather than a 16th-century compiler. Cf. A5r, "The writ of Parliament for the Lords", which begins: Jacobus Secundus, &c.

The first leaf bears "A catalogue of the authors and books made use of in the following collection.".
