M.R. Perkin, "Abraham Cowley. A bibliography", p. 31, gives variants in pagination for "The Puritan and the papist" and in imprint date for its separate dated title page (A1r). The variation in imprint appears to be from the main title imprint, as all "variants" have same imprint date on A1r: 1681/2
