A reissue of the 1654 edition (Wing P3441; Madan, II, 2260).

"Of political history in generall" and "Of the history of successions in states, countries, or families" each have separate title page dated 1653, with "printed by Leonard Litchfield" in imprint; pagination and register are continuous.

"A synopsis of councels", by John Prideaux, has separate title page dated 1654, with imprint "printed by Leonard Lichfield ... for Thomas Robinson"; pagination and register are separate. This edition may also have been issued separately (Wing P3436A; cf. Madan, III, 2261). It is a translation of "Consiliorum synopsis" (Wing P3421).
