Note
The engraved map, "A portraiture of the city of Philadelphia in the province of Pennsylvania in America" by Thomas Holme Surveyor General, is in two states. The imprint reads: 1) "Sold by Iohn Thornton in the Minories and Andrew Sowle in Shoreditch London" or 2) "Sold by Andrew Sowle in Shoreditch London".

Text continuous despite pagination.

In this, the first issue, line 5 of title has "poprietary" and line 29 of title reads "to a catalogue of the said purchasors names". On p. 9, the last line of text reads "that you will always find me" and the words "Your kind cordial friend" precede "William Penn".

The catalogue of the purchasers names (i.e. "Directions of reference in the city-draught of Philadelphia, ...", p. 11-14) is frequently lacking.
