Note
An unauthorized edition, edited by Francis Atterbury, which is condemned in the prefatory note to Waller's "The maid's tragedy altered", 1690 (Wing W502).

In this edition, the title page is in red and black.

"The maid's tragedy altered" is only a fragment, probably intended by Waller to form a new act V, transforming Beaumont and Fletcher's tragedy into a comedy.

With a preliminary imprimatur leaf.
Uncontrolled note
Title page in red and black? Identified on microfilm as W521A, but t.p. does not appear to be in red and black on microfilmed copy. If t.p. not in red and black, then L. copy on microfilm is actually Wing W521
