- Based on an earlier work by Roger of Wendover also known as "Flores historiarum", probably based in turn on an earlier St. Albans chronicle. See Vaughan, Richard. "Matthew Paris" (Cambridge, 1958).
"Vit¾ duorum Offarum .. et viginti trium abbatum Sancti Albani" most of it probably not written by Paris, has separate title page, register and (more or less) pagination; the imprint reads "Londini, excudebat Milo Flesher M.DC.XXXIX. ..". "Matth¾i Parisiensis additamenta" has separate title page dated 1639 with Flesher's name in imprint; pagination and register are continuous. "Matth¾i Paris, in majorem historiam Anglorum post conquisitionem Angli¾ a duce Normannorum Willielmo. Prologus" begins with a caption title on signature B1 and has separate pagination.
Includes indexes.
Text is continuous despite pagination.
