- The quadrants described were made and engraved by Henry Sutton, who also calculated some of the tables and drew the projections.
In this edition, the title page for the 1659 edition (Wing C5382) is bound as the third leaf, following "To the reader" (leaf A2).
The [5] pages between p. 275 and p. 277 are the blank verso of p. 275, and 4 contents pages signed *. The last of these has catchword "The", which matches the first word on p. 277.
"The description and vses of a great universal quadrant" has separate title page dated 1658; pagination and register are continuous. "The description and uses of a general quadrant, with the horizontal projection, upon it inverted" has separate title page dated 1658; pagination, and register are separate. "An appendix touching reflective dialling" by John Lyon has separate title page dated 1658; pagination is separate; register is continuous.
