Note
'The Description of the Hot-Bath.' signed and dated Bath, November 10th, M,DCC,LXX,VII. John Wood.

John Wood junior's designs for a new building to cover the hot springs at Bath were made around 1773, when he received the commission from the Corporation of the City. The building work appears not to have begun until December 1775, and was evidently complete in 1777.
