Another tract with the same title, but pro-Whig--parodying this pamphlet, was attributed by his contemporaries to Charles Hornby; also sometimes attributed to Daniel Defoe. Morgan's bibliography confuses authorship of the two items. - The last page of text contains "The merit of the Church-party" and "The merits of the Whigs" in parallel columns; the first item listed under "The merits of the Church-party" is "No new War, no new taxes". - Imprint date may be old style; a copy of another issue of the same text is dated in cont. MS: Jan. 1715 (cf. T32676, BL copy 101.d.68)
