- Note
- Not in fact a genuine report of the trial. Apparently part of Curll's pornographic best-seller series: 'The cases of impotency debated', fabricated by one or more of his hack writers and falsely attributed to George Abbot, a deceased Archbishop of Canterbury, whose name appears on the titlepage to vol. 1
The second Earl of Castlehaven was executed in 1631 for these crimes.
- Uncontrolled note
- This vol. lacks an edition statement, but was probably intended to be issued with the '3d ed.' of 1719
