- Vol.1 is a translation of 'L'Esploratore turco' by Giovanni Paolo Marana, originally published in Paris in 1684; subsequent volumes have been variously attributed, but were probably edited by Robert Midgley from William Bradshaw's translation of the original Italian MS
Subsequent volumes are entitled 'The third volume .. ', etc., up to 'The eighth and last volume .. '
Vols.5 and 6 are dated 1717, and have Brown's and Sare's names reversed in the imprint.
