MARCH (JOHN), printer in London, Tower Hill, 1733–98. For many years a printer of considerable importance. He printed for Messrs. Mount and Page, booksellers on Tower Hill, various sermons, notably one for establishing the colony of Georgia in America, preached by Samuel Smith on February 23rd, 1730/31, and published in London in 1733. [J. C. B. L.] Issued a trade card [A. Heal's Collection.] Became warden of the COmpany of Stationers in 1754 and Master in 1790. He died April 15th, 1798. [Nichols, III. 441 and 602.]
