British Museum 1902,1011.5987
After van Bleeck's own painting (Yale Centre for British Art B1981.25.46).
The scene is from Act III of King Lear, a production of Nahum Tate's adapted version of the play. Cordelia looks over her shoulder to the left. On the right are her lady Arante, Edmund's two hired ruffians and a dog. To the left is Edgar.
