  Birth of Jonathan Swift

  Swift is born about seven months after the death of his father, probably at his uncle Godwin's house at 7 Hoey's Court in St. Werburgh's parish, Dublin. He is the second of two children of Jonathan Swift (1640–1667), who was steward of the King's Inns, Dublin, and his wife, Abigail Erick (1640–1710).

  Death of Jonathan Swift

  Swift dies after a long decline and is buried three days later on the south side of the middle aisle of St. Patrick's Cathedral.
